Are you the parent or caregiver of a pre-teen or teenager? Do you find yourself wondering how to have open, honest conversations about sensitive topics like relationships, sexual health, and the challenges of adolescence? Have you been curious about what our sex ed classes offer? We invite you to join us for Birds, Bees, & Beyond, an engaging and informative event designed to support you in these important discussions.

What Is It?

Birds, Bees, & Beyond is a quarterly meetup that focuses on helping parents and caregivers navigate the nuances of adolescence. Each session highlights a new topic relevant to teens, offering insights and tools to foster meaningful communication.

This quarter, we’ll spotlight our comprehensive sexual health curriculum, answering any questions you might have about this KBPSD-approved curriculum. Together, we’ll explore strategies to build trust and confidence in talking about sensitive subjects with your teen, while maintaining a values-neutral and fact-based approach.

What to Expect:

Curriculum Overview: Take a look at the topics that are covered in KBFPC’s Sex Ed Curriculum.

Hands-On Experience: Participate in a classroom activity from our curriculum to see firsthand what your teen is learning.

Room for Questions: Bring your questions about the current state of sexual health education. Our team is here to provide clarity and support.

Why Attend?

Understanding what your teen is learning and experiencing is key to being their strongest ally. This event provides a safe, supportive space to deepen your knowledge, build communication skills, and feel more connected to your teen’s journey.
