Q: What if you don’t feel comfortable talking with anyone?
A: Thank you for feeling okay to open up about this! It can be very isolating to feel like you cannot talk to anyone in your life about what you are feeling. Fortunately, if you do not currently feel comfortable talking with someone about what is going on, there are many online resources that are also anonymous! Resources like contacting 988, or our own local South Peninsula Behavioral Health Services are great places to start. Even if you can’t talk to someone in your life, there is always someone who is ready to listen (and you don’t ever have to be “in crisis” to reach out for support!)
Check out these resources to find more support both locally and online:
- https://988lifeline.org/ – 24/7 anonymous call, text, or chat support
- https://www.spbhs.org/ – they have a counselor available 24/7 for mental health support – call 907-235-0247
- https://www.loveisrespect.org/ – relationship safety information and support
