Q: Is it normal for one testicle to be bigger than the other?

A: Great question! The short answer is yes: it is totally normal for one testicle to be bigger, or hang lower than the other. Just like the rest of the body, perfect symmetry isn’t typical. People might have one foot that is slightly larger or an arm that is a bit longer.

However, if you notice a significant size difference between testicles, a lump, or have any pain or swelling in the groin area it is best to talk to a medical professional, like your family doctor.
