Roundtable: Brains Under Construction
February 11, 2025

Puberty is a time of massive transformation—not just for the body, but for the brain as well. In fact, the adolescent brain undergoes its most drastic changes since infancy, shaping everything from emotions to decision-making to social connections. But what does that really mean for teens navigating this stage of life? How can understanding brain development help us make better choices, manage stress, and approach change with resilience?
In this Roundtable, we’ll dive into these questions and more, exploring the fascinating science behind the teenage brain. Together, we’ll discuss how this knowledge can foster self-awareness, self-compassion, and a greater understanding of others during a time of rapid change.
This engaging discussion is part of our Roundtable Teen Discussion Group Series, co-led by trained Peer Educators who bring relatable insights and lived experience to the table. All 12-18 year olds are welcome to join the conversation—come share your thoughts, ask questions, and connect with others navigating the same journey!
No need to sign up! And we will feed you, too 🙂 Come by the KBFPC Education Space at 4pm and we’ll finish up at 6pm
